Georgia reports 557 coronavirus cases, 639 recoveries, 10 deaths

Georgia reported 557 coronavirus cases, 639 recoveries, and ten deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.

21 890 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 13 380 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8 510 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 209 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 113 cases and the Shida Kartli region with 63 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2,54 %, while 3,23% over the past seven days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 264 158, among them 256 024 people recovered and 3, 321 died.

There are 386 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 083 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 290 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
