GD's Mdinaradze: Once Georgians properly response to 'agent parties' in local elections, constitutional case would be filed

“The parliamentary majority decided to extend the commission’s term of work by one month,” Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Georgian Dream party’s Executive Secretary, announced on Monday.

According to Mdinaradze, “once the Georgian people give a proper response to the ‘agent parties’ in the local elections, a fact-based constitutional case would be filed, which in turn, should objectively become the basis for the Constitutional Court to ban the collective National Movement shortly after the local elections.”

“On top of that, we will not give anyone the right, either inside or outside the country, to speculate on this issue, and we will not allow anyone to [claim] that Georgian Dream rushed to ban the collective National Movement just before the local elections, and since it became necessary to extend the commission’s term of work, we will certainly not attempt to force actions,” Mdinaradze asserted.

The GD Executive Secretary added that the inquiry panel would uncover “many more stories that will further and more clearly decipher the agent parties.”
