GD poll shows Kakha Kaladze leading with 66,2 per cent against Nikanor Melia with 33,8
The ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party published the results of a social poll conducted in Tbilisi.
GD Public Relations Secretary Shalva Papuashvili presented the poll results that show GD’s Tbilisi mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze to have 66,2% of voter support against the United National Movement (UNM) party candidate Nikanor Melia, who scored 33,8%.
Papuashvili claimed the results show that Kakha Kaladze is likely to win decisively in the very first round of the October 2 local elections.
“The results give the ground for optimism. The rest depends on the voters. We believe that the victory of Kakha Kaladze and his team means victory of Tbilisi, and we are confident of his success,” Papuashvili said.
