“I, as an ordinary warrior of our country, alongside my political team, will be on guard of our country and families in 2026. We will fulfill this difficult and honorable mission honestly, as long as our society deems it necessary, that our service is significant for Georgia,” wrote Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chair of the Georgian Dream (GD) party in his congratulatory message for New Year.

“Dear fellow citizens, Georgians living in Georgia and abroad! I congratulate you on the coming New Year. May this be the year of peace, unity and success for our families and our country. I wish each of you health and prosperity. Also, I wish you to have faith in a better tomorrow since we build the future of strong and successful Georgia for our children,” he said.

Bidzina Ivanishvili remarked that 2025 was a year full of challenges and difficulties.

“Society obviously saw how a global, evil force fought against Georgia. The force, which has unhealthy ambition over the world’s ruling. We all witnessed the open, unhidden and unequal confrontation against Georgia’s sovereignty and unity, a confrontation against the Georgian people that was taking place both within and outside the country.

Despite challenges, in 2025, with the wisdom of people, pragmatic, consistent and calm policy of our team, we have adequately responded to all challenges and we resisted all external hits with dignity and have not taken any single step backward in the fight for our motherland, our people, and Georgia’s sovereignty.

We are not going to stop or give up even in 2026, since our homeland, families, culture and traditions, and our children stand behind us. Therefore, there is no way backward! We have no choice! We are obligated before our homeland, nation, and ancestors to protect and uphold all those values that have brought our centuries-old nation to this day with pride!

Nobody should have the illusion that personally I or our political team will get exhausted in this uniqual fight. However, it is significant that our people, exactly in the same way as before, aknowledged in 2026 who is Georgia’s adversary and who is a friend!

I assess the situation objectively, and I am confident that it will be so, because to my great pride, a society has been created in Georgia, whose deception and manipulation of emotions is not only not easy, but impossible! Yes, this is Your Excellency, Georgian people!
