Gakharia for Georgia's Sharashidze: Due to 'Dream's anti-national policy, Georgia loses strategic significance in region
“The visit of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance to Armenia and Azerbaijan, bypassing Georgia, once again confirms that the U.S. new administration does not view Georgia as a reliable and strategic partner in the region, where, in front of our eyes, but without our participation, a new history is written and the real contours of liberation from Russian influence and strategic peace are being outlined,” said Giorgi Sharashidze, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party, at the briefing.
According to Giorgi Sharashidze, the Georgian Dream’s anti-national policy creates risks and hazards for actual, lasting peace and economic prosperity in Georgia.
Sharashidze said that the only thing the ruling GD party could offer to Georgian society through its propaganda was the accidental protocol photos from the U.S. visit.
He also lambasted the government’s attitude toward Trump’s administration, calling its officials “Deep State” and referring to them as the initiator of wars.
“Due to the ‘Dream’s intentional anti-national and irrational policy, Georgia loses its strategic significance in the region, where the country was a pillar of the U.S. not so long ago.
Today, when the ‘Dream’ is in full isolation and declares Georgia’s strategic partners as adversaries, our neighbours, with rational policy, benefit from economic welfare and security guarantees, which Georgia had to receive.
For what the ‘Dream’ deprives Georgia, the Georgian people spilt blood, and the ‘Dream’ bears full responsibility for that. Despite treacherous activities, we should actively work for the return of Georgia to the U.S. agenda,” he said.
