Gaga Isakadze: Works suspended in Dzidziguri, Mindeli Mines

The workers of the Dzidziguri Mine and Mindeli Mine has been striking for two days as miners demand a refund of income tax, a representative of the Trade Union, Gaga Isakadze told Georgian First Channel.

Isakadze also added that “an incident took place in one of the mines yesterday. 22 miners were stuck in an elevator for about an hour. Isakadze noted that “this happened before as well. We ask the company to present a conclusion that this mechanism is safe.”
