European Georgia again named Ninia Kakabadze as candidate for a member of Board of Trustees

European Georgia has again named Ninia Kakabadze as candidate for a member of Board of Trustees of Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).

As the member of Parliamentary minority Elene khoshtaria stated at the press conference held today, when electing the Board of Trustees members the authorities once again showed its face and attitudes towards the democratic procedures.

“We chose Ninia Kakabadze’s candidacy, which won unanimous support in the Competition Commission. She received a very high score matching her professionalism. We chose her candidacy as she is one of the most professionals. The government decided to fail the candidacy nominated by the opposition, so did not show respect to the quota. It comes to democratic procedures when the opposition must have a representative in the Board of Trustees” – Elene Khoshtaria said.

“The government should not have any illusion that the minority will nominate a candidate that would be desirable for the majority. We once again nominate the candidacy of Ninia Kakabadze” – She said.
