Eight persons detained on charge of drugs dealing were sentenced to pre-trial detention based on the decision made by Tbilisi City Court this afternoon.
Prosecutor’s Office demanded imprisonment as a preventive measure for the detainees. The lawyers requested bail as preventive measure.
Human Rights Defenders have expressed distrust to the investigation and demand conducting examination on operative materials. According to lawyers, none of the detainees had drugs at the moment of detention.
According to MIA, eight drug sellers were arrested in “Bassiani” and “Gallery” Night Clubs in Tbilisi on May 12 late night as a result of special operation.
