Education Minister releases statement

Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Minister of Education and Science released a statement regarding the clash that took place among school students at Khorava Street in Tbilisi on December 1.

“The ministry together with other institutions and cooperation of public will do their best not to admit repetition of similar tragedy,” reads the statement. Chkhenkeli expressed condolence to the families of two youngsters, who died as a result of the clash.

Two school students died in the physical clash at Khorava Street. Law enforcers detained one person born in 2001. Operative-search activities in detention of another person continue. Investigation is opened on charge of premeditated murder.
