Due to bad weather helicopter carrying Prime Minister failed to arrive in Svaneti

Because of bad weather, a helicopter, carrying Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze to Svaneti, landed in Zugdidi.

Press Office of the Government’s Administration reported that Prime Minister will travel from Zugdidi to Chuberi by car.

Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has today left for Svaneti region to arrive in the disaster affected Chuberi village to observe the cleanup works of the disaster aftermath there.

Due to heavy rain the part of mountain in Chuberi collapsed which caused flooding of River Nenskra. Chuberi village and several other settlements are remaining isolated from the rest of the world. The landslide destroyed bridges and swept away 2 houses.
