“First of all, I want to express my full respect for Mamuka, Badri, and the entire Lelo team. They play a crucial role in the fight against the Russian government,” said Elene Khoshtaria, leader of Droa party.

According to Khoshtaria, Lelo’s position has created unwanted uncertainty within the opposition.

“We need to close this chapter quickly and focus on the upcoming phase of the struggle — the self-government elections — advancing our own strategy of united protest, non-cooperation, non-recognition, sanctions, and holding wrongdoers accountable. That’s why I have publicly stated my readiness to meet with Mr. Mamuka in a patriotic spirit for a civilized dialogue. I am fully prepared to meet in any format. I’m hopeful we will resolve this issue in the same constructive spirit as we did with the matters of non-entry into parliament and non-cooperation,” Khoshtaria said.
