Droa Leader says she will continue fighting from prison, urges others to fight from outside

“When you fight against the Russian regime, which you do not recognize and acknowledge in which fight you are, it would be irresponsible not to be ready for discomfort,” said Elene Khoshtaria in her Facebook post.

Elene Khoshtaria finds it ridiculous if Bidzina Ivanishvili thinks he has punished her.

“I will say it frankly without exaggeration: I find it ridiculous if Bidzina Ivanishvili thinks he has punished me, while others are delighted to have solved one issue.

My friends, it would have been a punishment if I were scared or reconciled with Russians without preparing to fight against them. I really find it ridiculous if someone believes that being in jail is a punishment or means ceasing the fight.

On the contrary, I am somehow happy that the so-called judge or any supporter of the Georgian Dream begs me to recognize them. Whatever trick they may apply, they are doomed to failure. I laugh at their fuss, since I realize their weaknesses, and that is exactly where they will receive hits peacefully and calmly.

Let me touch on one issue, just once. My family and I are responsible for my four children, and may God protect me from their abandoning ever. My four children do not need the mercy of Russians. They know very well why they are going through this ordeal, much better than any GD supporter.

Hereby, I would like to extend my gratitude to the Opposition Alliance for making correct accents. There will be no bargaining and thanks to all: journalists, activists and citizens for their support.

My gratitude to the prison administration and everyone. I am fine and lack nothing. Keep on the fight. I will fight from inside and you from outside,” she said.

The Tbilisi City Court ruled a 1.5-year term imprisonment for the Droa party leader, Elene Khoshtaria.
