An irresponsible and wrong message is distributed in the social network – reads the statement of the National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health.

Based on the same statement, no cases of Chinese novel coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, and the voice message is misinformation and serves private and mercantile interests of dishonest people.

The Diseases Control Center calls on the public for not panicking. “The government is doing its best to prevent the import and spread of the novel coronavirus on the territory of Georgia. The health system of the country is in full readiness and, in case of import of the virus, can ensure provision of medical assistance in line with modern international standards,” reads the statement.

The Diseases Control Center also urges the public to read the information of the reliable information sources and trust recommendations of professionals.
