Customs checkpoints to be equipped with up-to-date passport readers

Up-to-date passport readers will soon be installed at the customs checkpoints of the Revenue Service across Georgia.

The project will be launched with the financial support of the European Union and the UN’s International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Zurab Sichinava, Head of Customs Department, said the project will contribute to the integrated border control and administering migration.

EU delegation members, the Head of the IOM in Georgia, and representatives of the Revenue Service attended the project’s presentation at the Tbilisi International Airport.
