Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Kavelashvili on Georgia’s Independence Day.

According to the Presidential Administration, the President of China accentuates Georgia-China friendly relations and the significance of the strategic partnership deepening.

In his congratulatory message, Xi Jinping extended his best wishes to his Georgian colleague and the Georgian people.

“China and Georgia established friendly relations based on mutual respect and trust. We are good friends. The China-Georgia relations have progressed in recent years with deeper political ties and intensified strategic cooperation,” said Xi Jinping, adding China was ready to work with the Georgian President to “upgrade bilateral partnership to a higher level.
