Chairman of Rustavi City Assembly to be dismissed

The Rustavi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) members dismissed their Chairman Levan Oniani with 16 voted pro and 2 – con.

Levan Oniani was impeached after he quit the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party on August 12. Oniani said the GD betrayed the key values. He later joined the People’s Party.

Oniani’s deputy will serve as acting chairman of Rustavi Sakrebulo.
