Agriculture Minister – Price for bread will not increase

I want to tell the population with full responsibility that price for bread will not increase – Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Agriculture said after the sitting of Coordination Council.

According to Davitashvili, the social conditions of people are hard under the background of economic problems that coronavirus has caused in the world including in Georgia.

Davitashvili said that the government held meetings with producers and made the decision on subsiding the price on wheat flour.

“The program will be in force during 4 months, till March 31. We will see how the situation goes after that on the international market. Depending on global prices, we will make decisions afterwards,” Davitashvili claimed.
