Economy Minister vows to hold elections transparently, in line with high standard

“The election environment will be transparent. The election process will be held in line with high standards, and freedom of expression will be guaranteed, respectively,” said Levan Davitashvili, First Vice Speaker and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.

Levan Davitashvili responded to the question on the possible interference of Russia in the Georgian elections. According to the Vice Speaker, all risks will be taken into account and averted.

“As for the risk, I will comment if there is a concrete case. General discourses are groundless. It is the opposition’s attempt to destabilize the election process. We have heard many groundless statements, among them against the government. This allegation is as false and groundless as others,” he said.
