Chinese Vice President Han Zheng: Our strategic relations are growing ever stronger; we wish to further develop them
“Our strategic relations are growing ever stronger, and we wish to develop them further. We hope to continue our friendship, partnership and cooperation with Georgia,” said Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, following the meeting held in expanded format with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to the Chinese Vice President, mutual support for the development of bilateral relations is particularly important and serves as a key principle of the comprehensive strategic partnership.
“In recent years, our countries’ leaders have supported the development of bilateral relations. In June, President Xi Jinping and President Kavelashvili met and made a statement on a comprehensive strategic partnership. Next year marks the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and China.
Our strategic relations are growing ever stronger, and we wish to develop them further. We hope to continue our friendship, partnership and cooperation with Georgia. Mutual support for the development of bilateral relations is especially important and is the main principle of the comprehensive strategic partnership. Georgia has long supported the one-China principle, and China, too, supports Georgia’s sovereignty, security and national development interests.
We support the development of mutually beneficial cooperation, including in the economic sphere. We have an economic development plan that will create new opportunities,” Han Zheng said.
