Tengiz Tsertsvadze, director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, presumes that the number of people infected with COVID-19 will not exceed 1,000 in Georgia.

According to him, the peak of the virus spread is expected in two or three weeks in Georgia.

“According to my forecast, the number of infected people will not exceed 1000. We will reach a peak in two or three weeks. It won’t be a blast, it will be a smooth peak, that will last for another two to three weeks. After a month and a half, the epidemic will go down. Georgia will come out with a minimal loss, and then we will have to stand side by side”, – Tsertsvadze said.
