Opposition to drive in columns to Rustavi prison

“The opposition changed the rally format so that the government does not use it as an excuse,” the United National Movement (UNM) member Tina Bokuchava announced on Wednesday.

“Instead of picketing the Government Administration, the protesters will drive in columns from Republic Square in Tbilisi to Rustavi prison where a political prisoner, UNM Chair Nika Melia, is confined. We also postponed a large-scale rally on March 13. It will be held on March 20, as President of the European Council Charles Michel gave the parties two weeks to agree on the issues mentioned in the framework document,” Bokuchava said.
