Merab Turava elected as Chairman of the Constitutional Court

Judge Merab Turava has been elected as Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Georgia. His candidacy was supported by five judges of the Constitutional Court.

The head of the public relations department of the Constitutional Court, Giorgi Lomtadze made this statement.

According to him, the candidates for the post of chairman of the Constitutional Court presented their visions to the Plenum of the Constitutional Court, after which a secret ballot was held.

Another candidate Irina Imerlishvili was supported by four judges.
