Anaklia Port Project has strategic importance for Georgia. The political team of Georgian Dream was the project’s initiator. Georgia will not be able to fulfill its function of transit potential without having a deepwater port – Mamuka Bakhtadze, Georgian Prime Minister said.

“The Georgian government has expressed full support to the project. The government made many steps including taking financial liabilities, attracting investments or leading negotiations with various international financial institutions to carry out the project successfully. The government will do its best for Georgia to have a deepwater port,” Prime Minister said.
