Gubaz Sanikidze apologises to US Ambassador

“I misrepresented my opinion about the US Embassy yesterday, this is my fault,” Gubaz Sanikidze, a former MP and one of the leaders of the opposition stated in an interview with Mtavari TV.

Sanikidze has apologized to US Embassy, Ambassador Kelly Degnan and noted that “he is ready to meet with the representatives of the US Embassy.”

As Gubaz Sanikidze said in an interview with TV Pirveli, “phone conversations of the chairman of the Georgian Dream Party, Bidzina Ivanishvili, are being tapped by the US Embassy in Georgia.”

The US Ambassador to Georgia responded to Sanikidze’s statement and labelled it as “absurd” and “false.”
