The Ministry of Internal Affairs is doing and will do everything to ensure that elections are held in a peaceful, calm and democratic environment, – the Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Gakharia made this statement.

When visiting Zugdidi town Gakharia told journalists that the conclusions of international organizations show that there was less violence during the first round of the presidential election.

“As for the pre-election campaign, I would like to call on everyone, to read the conclusions of the international observers made after the first round. All of them indicate that there was a significant decline in violence. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is doing everything and will do everything to ensure that elections are held in the peaceful, calm and democratic environment”, – Giorgi Gakharia stated.
