Georgia reports 486 coronavirus cases, 499 recoveries, 13 deaths

Georgia reported 486 coronavirus cases, 499 recoveries, and 13 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.

19 192 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 612, 628 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 6, 564 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 194 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Kakheti region with 74 cases, and the Imereti region with 49 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 266, 948, among them 259, 727 people recovered and 3, 390 died.

As of today, the test-positivity rate reached 2.53 %, while 2.8% over the past two weeks.

There are 242 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1, 828 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 229 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 379 critical patients, 103 require mechanical ventilation.
