Georgia reports 4,732 coronavirus cases, 4,812 recoveries, 72 deaths

Georgia reported 4,732 coronavirus cases, 4,812 recoveries, and 72 deaths on November 17, the official figures show.

50,707 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 31,426 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 19,281 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,884 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 878 cases and the Kvemo Kartli region with 425 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 9,33%, while 9,11% in the past seven days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 795,847, among them, 731,996 people recovered and 11,212 died.

There are 54 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6,614 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,175 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 1,660 critical patients, 371 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 2,066,159 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 8,233 in a day.
