Georgia reports 360 coronavirus cases, 119 recoveries, 9 deaths

Georgia reported 360 coronavirus cases, 119 recoveries, and nine deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.

25 349 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 14, 742 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10,607 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 194 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 50 cases and the Shida Kartli region with 35 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 271,739, among them 265,805 people recovered and 3,541 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1.42 %, while 1.3% in the past 14 days.

There are 258 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1,477 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 151 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 247 critical patients, 95 require mechanical ventilation.
