Georgia reports 1,530 coronavirus cases, 1,848 recoveries, 23 deaths

Georgia reported 1,530 coronavirus cases, 1,848 recoveries, and 23 deaths on October 11, the official figures show.

17,711 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 11,033 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 6,678 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8,64%, while 7,6% in the past seven days.

Georgian capital of Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 465 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 334 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 142 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 635,583, among them, 602,372 people recovered and 9,269 died.

There are 71 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4,514 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 703 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of  1,006 critical patients, 257 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 1,874,845 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 3,442 in a day.
