In your own words, the philosophy of music functions in achieving agreement among people. Do you think that music is so powerful that it can have an actual effect on political decisions?

Yes. My answer to this question is based on the orchestra as well. Within the orchestra there exist completely different people, but one thing brings us all together – music. That doesn’t mean that we’re all best friends with each other. Which is a very important factor here. Understanding that, by being together, in spite of our closeness or distance, we can devote ourselves to big, noble ideas, and not war with each other, would be crucial, paramount even. In the modern world, the reasons for people to come together are monetary, military, or just war, which never leads to anything good. Instead, we could come together, and not just those of us who really like each other. People need to come together for a single big idea that can save the world.
