Tbilisi gets ready to celebrate Christmas and New Year

Winter illuminations for Christmas and New Year are being installed in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

Tbilisi City Hall says the installation of New Year’s Illuminations has already finished on Akaki Tsereteli Ave, Grigol Robakidze Ave, King Tamar’s Ave, Vazha Pshavela Ave, Alexander Kazbegi Ave, and Guramishvili Ave, as well as, Kostava street, Kandelaki street, Gamsakhurdia street, Dolidze street, Cholokashvili street, Tamarashvil street, Melikishvili street, King Parnavaz street, Tsotne Dadiani street, Gorgasali street and Leonidze street. In the following days, the remaining avenues and streets of the capital will be lit up as well.

As Tbilisi City Hall adds, Rustaveli Avenue and Orbeliani square will have different decorations.

Festive lighting of the city’s main Christmas tree is planned on December 25.
