According to Tokayev, the signing of the strategic partnership agreement between Georgia and Kazakhstan is a historic decision that serves the interests of both the Georgian and Kazakh peoples.

“Kazakhstan regards Georgia as a time-tested and highly reliable partner in the South Caucasus, and we truly appreciate the friendly, traditional relations between us. Our countries share deep historical roots, common cultural values, and strong people-to-people ties that underpin our close partnership.

We have just had a productive exchange of views, reaffirming our shared commitment to further developing our bilateral cooperation. We highly appreciate your personal contribution to strengthening Kazakh-Georgian cooperation and friendship. I warmly recall your official visit to Astana last year, which gave a strong impetus to our bilateral relations.

Today, we will sign a joint statement that will elevate our relations to the level of a strategic partnership. This is a truly historic decision that serves the core interests of our peoples and lays a strong foundation for the further expansion of cooperation between our countries. I would like to thank you for this important initiative; it is a very significant outcome of your visit to Kazakhstan and a meaningful step forward in our cooperation.

I would also like to commend you for the progress Georgia has achieved over recent years. Your strong leadership enables Georgia to successfully navigate a challenging period while maintaining its steady course of development,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

Tokayev also noted that Kazakhstan views Georgia as a strong and successful state.

“Georgia continues to demonstrate impressive results in strengthening democratic institutions, promoting economic growth, and enhancing its role on the international stage. We regard Georgia as a dynamic and forward-looking country with a bright future ahead, and we wish you every success in achieving your nation’s goals.

Kazakh-Georgian relations have been developing dynamically across political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian exchanges. Our states are interacting at various levels, including between parliaments, government agencies, and other institutions. We have developed a comprehensive legal framework that provides a concrete foundation to promote our interaction in different fields,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
