Georgians, Ukrainians living in Georgia, government do the best to help Ukrainian citizens, Ukrainian Ambassador says
Georgians, Ukrainians living in Georgia, the Georgian government are doing their best to help Ukrainian citizens, Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia, Igor Dolgov, stated at a briefing in Tbilisi today.
“We are grateful for all the help and support. We feel great support in Georgia as well. Hundreds and more Ukrainian citizens have been stuck in Georgia. Georgians, Ukrainians living in Georgia and the Georgian government are doing their best to assist them.
The Georgian government has opened a hotline and is doing its best to accommodate Ukrainian citizens free of charge. Owners of small, medium and large hotels ask us how to help. They do their best to accommodate Ukrainians.
The governor of Kakheti sent me a photo showing a demonstration supporting Ukraine. There are many such examples in Georgia and also in the whole world. Is it enough? No, not enough. What seemed a strict package of sanctions yesterday seems insufficient today,” Ambassador stated.
Igor Dolgov also spoke about the situation in Ukraine and noted that the Ukrainian army is protecting the territory of the country.
