Viruses are typical during every winter season, NCDC Deputy Director says
“No one has seen a winter without viruses. We have had much worse seasons than this. The Coronavirus made everyone forget about the flu because wearing masks prevented the spread of viruses. So, it is a normal season,” said Paata Imnadze, Deputy Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC).
According to Paata Imnadze, the “A” type flu virus predominates this winter season, including H3 and H3N2 in some cases. He warned that the peak period was still ahead, presumably at the end of February.
To address a prolonged high body temperature and symptoms of pneumonia, the Deputy Director of NCDC recommended seeking medical advice from doctors. He warned them not to use antibiotics but urged them to take anti-virus medicines such as Tamiflu.
