Vice Speaker Volski: Frequent personnel changes are not ideal, but results are what matter

“In the person of Borashvili, the best possible candidate has been selected. I believe it is a correct decision that the candidate was chosen from within the ranks rather than brought in from outside; his work will yield results, and this personnel decision is a positive one,” declared First Vice Speaker of Parliament Gia Volski.

According to Volski, Geka Geladze served in a highly compelling period during his tenure at both the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG).

“Broadly speaking, frequent personnel changes are not ideal, but there is a baseline formula we must keep in mind: everything is measured by results. Judging by the results, against the backdrop of serious challenges in this turbulent world, both regionally and globally, this service has consistently maintained a very high standard in safeguarding national interests.

I would not say the new head is an outsider. He has held leadership positions for a long time, and decisions were taken collectively. I do not believe any further questions can be raised on this matter. Naturally, one individual should serve and remain in post for years, but certain circumstances arise where taking such decisions becomes imperative,” Volski stated.
