Head of Government Administration meets Turkish Ambassador

Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia, has met Mustafa Türker Arı, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Georgia.

According to the Georgian government, the two sides discussed the main areas of their strategic partnership, with particular attention to economic cooperation and transport and energy connectivity.

The parties noted that Türkiye is Georgia’s most important trade and investment partner. The two sides highlighted the positive momentum in tourism cooperation, which provides a solid basis for further growth in visitor numbers in both countries.

Zhorzholiani said the Georgian Government attaches particular importance to strengthening regional transport links. In this context, the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor was stressed. The talks also covered high-level visits and cooperation in education and culture, and the two sides discussed joint regional projects.
