Vice Speaker Tsilosani: UNM’s Bokuchava and her fellows treat the Church as playground for faith and religious values they never defend

“Nobody will remember or associate the United National Movement with the Church,” declared Vice-Speaker of Parliament, Nino Tsilosani.

According to her, the Church embodies the love of God and humanity, and the policies of the United National Movement have been directed against this fundamental principle.

“For years, the United National Movement, along with its party members, activists, and the television stations that relentlessly opposed the Church, have waged the dirtiest campaign against the Patriarch. Even during the days of the Patriarch’s passing, they directly attacked Metropolitan Shio, the Locum Tenens. All of this was aimed at undermining our spiritual pillar and the strongest church, fostering chaos and discord. Tina Bokuchava and her fellows view the church as a mere playground, a space where they seek to toy with our faith and religious values, which they have never truly defended, not even when we passed the law on family values. They failed to defend the church during the campaign of dirty tricks they themselves led,” Tsilosani asserted.

For context, United National Movement Chair Tina Bokuchava has stated: “Unfortunately, we also have a problem with our collective message; we make no effort to show citizens that we are not godless unbelievers, and we make no effort to enter that arena.”
