The Georgian government will finance vaccination against Measles. According to Healthcare Ministry, vaccines will be free of charge for patients of all risk groups.
Davit Sergeenko, Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs called on medical personnel of clinics not to create obstacles with that respect.
Based on the order of Health Minister, medical institutions will also work on Saturdays and Sundays both in Tbilisi and regions. “Vaccination will be an effective step to stop epidemics of Measles,” Sergeenko said.
The Minister also said that all the imported vaccines were produced in Belgium and the US by GlaxoSmithKline and Merck companies.
