US want to see Georgia succeed

The United States want to see Georgia succeed politically as a democracy, as a strong and flourishing democracy, and also as a prosperous economy. You deserve that, the US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan declared in the TV Program Kviris Interview (Interview of the Week) on the Georgian Public Broadcaster.

“We’ll wait and hear what President Michel decides. I think it’s a tremendous show of support for Georgia that someone at President Michel’s level has already invested so much time engaging with the Prime Minister in Europe, sending some very clear messages in Europe about the need for compromise and the need to reach an agreement,” Ambassador Degnan stated.

Kelly Degnan said Charles Michel decided that his personal envoy Christian Danielsson travels back to Georgia to continue mediation between the parties. This is a sign that Georgia’s success is important.
“The United States will continue to support this process. One hundred per cent, I am I we want to see Georgia succeed. We want to see Georgia succeed politically as a democracy, as a strong and flourishing democracy, and also as a prosperous economy. You deserve that. And the United States, as your strongest supporter, will do what we can to help,” Kelly Degnan concluded.
