US proud to stand with Georgia helping build strong, prosperous, European democracy, Ambassador says

US Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, said: “The United States is proud to stand with Georgia in helping you build strong, prosperous, European democracy.”

According to her, “Recognizing this wonderful celebration here, it is so impressive, the focus on the Georgian Defense Forces who have been working so hard to make sure that Georgia can defend its borders and can deter this terrible aggression that we see just next door in your region.”

“This is a very impressive display of the Georgian people’s commitment to freedom that goes on for centuries, not just for days or years or decades, but for centuries. The United States is so proud to be able to celebrate this with all Georgians and to stand with Georgia in helping you build strong, prosperous, European democracy,” she stated.
