UNM's Pavlenishvili: Corruption-based system breeds clan battles and lawsuits
Accusations and revelations from current and former members of Ivanishvili’s circle are likely to intensify and may even lead to criminal cases, said Irakli Pavlenishvili, Deputy Secretary General of the opposition United National Movement party.
According to Pavlenishvili, this is a typical outcome in a system built on corruption and self-interest.
“Political hysteria within Ivanishvili’s group is reaching its peak. Internal conflicts and mutual accusations are escalating, and we may soon see criminal proceedings based on disclosures by former members now targeted by propaganda. Such clan infighting and exposure usually emerge in systems driven by personal gain and disregard for public interest,” Pavlenishvili stated.
