“We are not participating in a Russian special operation. This is not registration, this is protecting our number – #5, which is not only electoral but part of our political identity. When the people defeat the Russian regime, we will participate in free elections with exactly this number,” stated Lasha Parulava, a member of the United National Movement’s political council.

According to him, “National Movement members have always been defenders of constitutional principles and legislation, and will continue to be so.”

“If someone violates the constitution, it is Ivanishvili’s regime, which has trampled on constitutional principles,” Parulava declared.

Following the Coalition for Change, the UNM appealed to the Central Election Commission to preserve their electoral number.
