UNM’s Khabeishvili: I would sacrifice my skin and freedom again
“Now I am also a shackled prisoner. Tomorrow, my heart will be with you. I would gladly sacrifice my skin and freedom once more in this fight,” Levan Khabeishvili, chairman of the Political Council of the United National Movement opposition party, shared on social media.
As Khabeishvili recounts, he remains unwavering in his conviction that the Georgian people will achieve an unconditional victory.
“My blood ran cold as I looked at the torn, bloodied young men… A few days later, while rushing to save one young man, my own facial bones were also broken… This only strengthened me spiritually and mentally. My flesh burned as I watched prisoners of conscience being captured one after another. Now, I find myself also a shackled prisoner. But tomorrow, my heart will be with you. I would gladly throw my skin and freedom into this struggle again. I believe in an unassailable victory for the Georgian people. We will meet again soon,” Khabeishvili wrote.
