UNM ready for dialog, deescalate tension

Nika Melia, Chairman of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) Party said the opposition is ready for a dialog to contribute to the de-escalation of tension.

According to Nika Melia, the dialog should be oriented on outcomes. UNM Chair thanked Žygimantas Pavilionis, a member of the Lithuanian Seimas for support to Georgia.

“With engagement of Lithuania and not only Lithuania, we hope that the government will assess the current situation adequately. The opposition seeks for the dialog to take place. However, the dialog should be oriented on outcomes and should not be a dialog only for a dialog,” UNM Chair claimed.

The member of Lithuanian Seimas Žygimantas Pavilionis called on the sides for a dialog, for demonstration of unity and the maturity of democracy.
