UNM leaders meet U.S. Security Council representatives

The Chairperson of the United National Movement, Tina Bokuchava, together with party leaders, held a meeting with representatives of the U.S. National Security Council at the White House, the party announced.

According to the National Movement, discussions focused on the political situation in Georgia, as well as the imprisonment of Mikheil Saakashvili and Levan Khabeishvili.

Bokuchava emphasized that restoring relations with the United States requires Georgia to be represented by a pro-Western government.

“We have just completed our meeting with National Security Council representatives at the White House. I want to assure every Georgian citizen that our country, people, statehood, and freedom are of great importance to the United States. They also understand that there can be no peace in the South Caucasus if Georgia is governed by a regime that violates fundamental rights and imprisons its opponents. We have heard this repeatedly from Vice President J.D. Vance. For our common security, peace, prosperity, and the restoration of relations with the United States, Georgia must be represented by a pro-Western, pro-American, and above all, pro-national government that will fulfill the historic choice of the Georgian people to join the free world,” Bokuchava stated.
