Two employees of “Georgian Railway” detained for commercial bribery

Officers of Investigative Service of Finance Ministry of Georgia detained two employees of “Georgian Railway” Company on commercial bribery charges.

According to Investigative Service, the detainees who were obliged to monitor the works carried out by a subcontractor company, demanded and took GEL 2 240 as a bribe from the company director.

An investigation has been launched under paragraph IV of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving commercial bribery. The crime envisages from 4 to 6 years in prison.
