“I am entirely indifferent to what Joe Wilson says because he lacks all credibility; this individual is simply lining his pockets through political lobbying,” stated parliamentary majority member MP Levan Machavariani.

According to the MP, Mikheil Kavelashvili is visiting Iran under the exact same diplomatic precedent as the leaders of Georgia’s allied nations, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.

“Incidentally, during the inauguration, Joe Wilson was hawking tickets and flags. As such, we are talking about a cheap and unserious individual. Iran is our neighbour in the region. Mikheil Kavelashvili is visiting Iran just like the leaders of our friendly partner nations, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. It is completely logical. I see absolutely no issue with Mikheil Kavelashvili’s visit to Iran; within the broader context of the region, we are neighbours, and the leaders of every single neighbouring state are travelling to Iran, not just Kavelashvili.

As for our relationship with the United States, it remains a key priority, and we are taking concrete steps on our end. Washington is fully aware of this. They know we stand ready to map out a clear roadmap in time and space that reflects the mutual interests of both sides. Nobody cares about Joe Wilson; he does not dictate the political agenda of the United States,” Machavariani noted.

US Congressman Joe Wilson had previously posted on social media that ‘Dictator Khamenei’s funeral draws together all of the worst America haters from around the world.’

According to the Administration of the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili will attend the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran, alongside the leaders of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and other nations.
