Third Force to nominate Tbilisi mayoral, City Assembly chair candidates

The political union Third Force nominated Tamar Kekenadze to run for the Tbilisi Mayor post and Sergo Chikhladze for the Tbilisi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) Chairman in the upcoming October 2 local elections.

Third Force also presented single-mandate candidates. Davit Tsekvava will run in Krtsanisi, Teona Chaladze-Isani, Nana Tokhvadze –Gldani, Otar Baghaturia –Didube, Vakhtang Iashvili –Samgori, Irakli Goguadze –Mtatsminda, Paata Chokovani –Vake, Avtandil Chartolani-Chughureti, Zaza Kortkhojia-Nadzaladevi.

A new political grouping Third Force, presented on August 30, unites the Strategy Aghmashenebeli, Republican Party, Free Democrats and Grigol Vashadze, former chair of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party.

The local elections in Georgia are scheduled for October 2.
