Tbilisi Mayor views everyone who limits themselves to allegedly anti-Russian statements as hypocrites
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze believes that those who make allegedly anti-Russian statements, in fact, hold to double standards.
When asked to remark on singer Giorgi Ushikishvili’s claim that he does not accept Russian tourists at his hotel, despite a journalistic experiment by Chronicle proving the opposite, Kakha Kaladze described the behavior as hypocrisy.
“Those who limit themselves to making allegedly anti-Russian statements merely represent hypocrites. Recall the aftermath of the 2008 war. We lost territories, hero soldiers, peaceful civilians; what can be more disastrous than destroyed infrastructure? Remember the statements and welcoming Russians at the Larsi checkpoint and selling businesses to Russian state companies.
External patrons gave instructions to make such moves. Today, the instructions from external patrons have changed, and consequently, they are disseminating a different type of message. This is a classic case of double standards, and everyone acts based on their own interests,” he said.
