Government decides to award monetary prizes for participation in and results achieved at the XXV Winter Olympic Games

By decision of the Georgian Government, monetary prizes will be awarded to Olympic team members, coaches, and medical staff for their participation in and results achieved at the XXV Winter Olympic Games (Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo).

Based on the order, signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the Sports Ministry will issue the monetary awards.

In figure skating (pairs), the second-place finishers will receive a cash prize of 51,000 GEL and an additional cash prize of 449,000 GEL, while for fourth place in figure skating (team), they will receive 6,800 GEL.

Those placing fourth in the figure skating team event will receive a cash prize of 6,800 GEL plus an additional 50,000 GEL. The head coach of the figure skating team will receive a cash prize of 71,400 GEL.

An additional cash prize of 50,000 GEL has been established for participation in alpine skiing (slalom/giant slalom).

The medical staff of the Georgian Olympic team will receive a cash prize of 42,840 GEL, while the administrative team of the Georgian Olympic team will receive 28,560 GEL.
